Dropbox backup

Back up or restore your tool library

Connect Dropbox with PKCE, keep tokens out of local storage, and sync one backup file in your app folder.

Setup Use a Dropbox app with App Folder access, enable the `files.content.read` and `files.content.write` scopes, and register the redirect URI shown below in the Dropbox App Console.

The official GitHub Pages deployment uses the built-in Dropbox app key by default. Enter a different key here only if you want to override it.

How Chat2Tool handles your data

What Chat2Tool is

Chat2Tool is a client-side application that runs entirely in your browser.

What data is accessed

If you choose to connect Dropbox for backup and sync, Chat2Tool may access files stored in its Dropbox App Folder or the specific Dropbox scope you authorize.

The application only reads and writes files required for backup, restore, and synchronization of your saved tools and settings.

What data is not collected

Chat2Tool does not operate its own backend server and does not transmit your files, prompts, or personal data to a developer-controlled server for storage.

The developer does not receive your Dropbox files, access tokens, or application content.

Authentication

Dropbox authentication is handled through Dropbox's official OAuth flow. Your Dropbox password is never entered into Chat2Tool.

Local storage

Application data may also be stored locally in your browser using local storage for offline persistence and faster access.

Your control

You can disconnect Dropbox access at any time from your Dropbox account settings and remove locally stored browser data from your browser settings.
